Visit to Sor Victorina and two other Augustinian Sisters

Above this post, you can watch the video clip of our visit to Sor Victorina, which I uploaded to our YouTube channel. The storyline will be posted tonight. I spent most of the time last night looking for an appropriate background music. I was tempted to use Umbrella, ella, ellla... eh... eh.. because Ate Marynat left her umbrella at the Lanai of the Infirmary and I had to go back to get it. But I finally opted for Panunumpa sang by the Philippine Madrigal Singers.

Hi Toti,
Galing! The video was well made... hindi lang ako maka-relate sa music. It sounded so dreary and pessimistic. Sor Victorina should really be so (blessed) happy to reach 99 right? I felt good just watching the video though thanks. Will visit her and the others perhaps one afternoon next week. For now, just have to move from one report to another. Lots of hugggssss........

Today's Birthday

Eleanora Fagan, AKA Billie Holiday (1915)

Despite a deeply troubled upbringing, Holiday became one of the most celebrated and influential singers in jazz history. She was also one of its most tragic figures. She debuted in the 1930s and, after performing with Benny Goodman, Count Basie, and Artie Shaw, embarked on a successful solo career. However, she suffered many personal setbacks, complicated by the drug addiction that eventually destroyed her career and hastened her death. How did she choose her stage name? More... Discuss
