Oh Captain, our Captain: The acknowledged leader of our Class

March 8

Hello Classmates,

Last Tuesday, I've talked with Men Venida on the phone and Joe Sales, afterwards. It was a very nice feeling to hear their voices after a very long time. I hope both of them can make it to our reunion so they can share their stories to the rest of you, guys. I was planning to call Marybeth Regalario and Fechie Alarcon that same day but it was already too late in the evening and I did not want to spoil their beauty sleep.

Mendy, thank you. You've started this all for me through the letter you've sent me. I get to learn more about our classmates now through their emails.

Toti, you've always been the MAN. This is a very good thing you've been doing for the class............... I've been doing just fine, thank you.

Rory, always keep in touch but preferably with skype or yahoo messenger with voice and please produce a mic, next time. We both hate typing anyway.

Danny, I did separate from the Air Force in 1986 to join PAL, but now I am with EVA AIRWAYS..........I've been also wondering about your whereabouts. Alot, I am sorry that I missed the luncheon meeting with Danny but next time I'll be there. I hate to disappoint you again.

Manny Abogado, my kumpadre and the only classmate I get to see everytime I go home to Daet............... I can attend this reunion this time, pare.

To the rest of you, my classmates, I love you and I hope to see you all on the 14th and 15th of April.

MORE POWER TO DPS CLASS 67

Hello Rudy,

You are one of the few classmates I haven't heard from all this time! Glad to hear from you finally.

I just talked to Joe Sales and he is trying to gather us who are in CA, USA to meet with you during your flight to SF. When exactly will you be around? And what time of the day can we visit with you? Since I am very eager and excited to see you and the rest of the group, I will make it a point to be present even if it calls for a sick call from work. However, if you can tell me in advance the date , I may be able to make arrangement to be off and spend time with you. Balita ko poging pogi ka na daw. Sabagay, dati man baga, right? I live and work very close to SFO, so anytime you land in, feel free to call me and I can chaperone you around during lay-over. My cell is 650-219-3212 and work 650-696-5400 and just have me page overhead.

I have just gotten an email from Danny de la Fuente from Florida informing me about his mini-reunion with Alot, Susan, Baby(these ladies are staying quite gorgeous!) and Toti. He is proposing to us folks here in states to organize a reunion too coinciding with Daet for those who will not be able to make it there. it is a marvelous idea but I hope I can really join pending my brother's condition who is very ill at this time. I just came back from the Phil too last month and had a brief visit with the group in Daet. It was great seeing them again. I know the Ruby Reunion will be much more fun and enjoyable and I hate to miss it. I'll try my darnest best not to miss it.

Toti-you have certainly reconnected most of us through this egroup. Thank you for the effort. As usual, talagang maaasahan.

Mendy , Susan, Yoly and the rest of the core group -my hats off to you for working hard and keeping us bonded as much as we can. My kudos for organizing and coordinating this event come April.

I tried contacting Herminia de la Cruz thru her cell and landline but she has not responded back yet. I haven't seen her myself for over 2-3 years and she just lives nearby. I'll keep trying.

Keep watch for more news and update. I miss you all. Hope to see you sooner or later.

Always,
Fechie

Rudy,

Susan said that her favorite airline is EVA AIR. She's been to Chiang Kai Shek Airport via Eva Air.

We're here right now in Baby's house. It's her husband's birthday. "We" - means Susan, Alot, Bert and his wife Marie, and Susan's younger sister Emma.

They enjoyed reading the emails already posted here.

Susan relayed the news that Leonardo (aviator kasi ang sabi ni Fechie)is coming to town on March 25. She asked me to tell you Rudy that she's going back to Naga on the evening of the 26th. So, you have to treat us to lunch before she leaves. I don't know how you'll do it, baka may jetlag ka pa niyan, I'm just doing what Susan asked me to do.

Guys,

I've about 55 unread emails 'til now, making a total of 254 saved messages from our group. It was a delight reading all these messages but I don't know how to respond and where to start.

I guess apology is in order so I'll start by apologizing to Marybeth, Susan and Glen. During our mini-reunion in SFO, unwittingly I compared the `Tres Marias` to the `Mean Girls`, the movie. When that reference was made, it was intended with all honesty to complement rather than to malign or demean you, beautiful ladies. Just the same, I am sorry if I have offended you.

Men, you continuously impressed and amazed me. If Toti is the MAN, you`re definitely the WOMAN. I stand corrected, you`re not small..... you`re petite, beautiful and smart.

Fetchie and Minia, I enjoyed your company..... and your jokes. There are no dull moments with you ladies. Fechie, you`re getting prettier by the day. Lagot ako sa asawa ko nito.

Toti, as Ed C nicely put it, it will be a beerless layover for me in Daet. It is not a religion- related thing. After the re-union, I am due for a medical re-check as soon as I get back to TPE. Probably, I`ll seek medical attention from the two(2) doctors and several nurses in our class in Daet.

Violy and Danny, what a wonderful looking family you have. I envy you guys.

I`ll cut this short otherwise this will be doubly boring as it is. Thanks and Best Regards.

Hi Rudy…This can happen to you and all your flying sons (siyanga pala, Ed Tamayo, bro of Glen is also a pilot, dib a Rudy?) Ed Canela

-----------------------------

A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED!!!

A man was flying from Seattle to San Francisco.

Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sacramento along the way. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft, the plane would re-board in 50 minutes.

Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. The Man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Seeing Eye dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight.

He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, "Kathy, we are in Sacramento for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?" The blind lady replied, "No thanks, but maybe my dog would like to stretch his legs."

Picture this:

All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill
When they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses.

People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

True story.... Have a great day and remember...

THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR
